Interrelationship Between Population Dynamics and Quality of Life in Azamgarh District

Abstract

This study presents a geographical analysis of the relationship between population dynamics and quality of life in the Vikateshwar Tehsil of Azamgarh district. Indicators such as population growth, density, literacy, sex ratio, occupational structure, health, and housing facilities were used. For data analysis, both quantitative and cartographic methods were employed. The results reveal significant regional disparities in the quality of life across the tehsil. Areas with better access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities exhibit higher living standards, whereas the border rural regions reflect lower levels of well-being. A slight positive correlation was found between population growth, the working population, and quality of life, while an inverse relationship was observed with industrial employment. The study concludes that balanced regional development in Vikateshwar Tehsil requires the expansion of educational, healthcare, and employment facilities.
